Bend or Break

Thinking about our trip to Idlewood tomorrow I can’t help, but wonder what we will see. I often wonder how a real live UACM graduate fits into a school. A lot of the ideas that we have now are “against the grain”. How do we compromise. How will we find our place. Today in class someone said that we can pick and choose what we want to implement and add it to it as we become more seasoned. I wonder with all of theseĀ ideas and convictions will implementing one or two suffice or will I feel like a revolutionary sell out?

I feel ya J! I was thinking that same thing and I was wondering how will we fit in being NEW teachers with all of these different ideas and I already have the feeling that other teachers will have a little resentment towards us because we are going to be the SOUGHT after teachers in the school. I just said to Courtney today that I hope some of us end up working at the same schools. I am very nervous about going into the classroom becasue i don’t know how the children will respond! I know that even how well prepared we are going to be…what is it going to be like in a classroom on our own?
